MyUCRHelp: I was a resident at my Community College. Does that mean that I will be considered a resident at UC-Riverside?

Question

I was a resident at my Community College. Does that mean that I will be considered a resident at UC-Riverside?

Answer

No. Some students transferring from community colleges may receive a different classification at UC-Riverside for various reasons. Most often it is because their parents are from out of state and the students do not meet the University of California requirements for financial independence or intent.
